August 2014, after one night stay at Begnas Lake Resort in the lap of Begnas Lake in Pokhara, we planned to stay in lake side area somewhere near by Phewa lake and inner city. We checked out and reached up to the road by boat provided by Hotel, where our pre -booked taxi driver was waiting for us. Jumped into the taxi then headed to Pokhara inner city by the lake side, we did not book any hotel by the time but checked randomly few hotels but could not decide to stay. When we were discussing the hotel to choose from, taxi driver opens a work and asked us if you would prefer the hotel I refer, we accepted easily and followed taxi driver. He dropped us there, where we were greeted by the hotel owner and showed us the room. We liked the room, big enough, peaceful, family environment, especially the best the way he talks to us was much respected. This is how we choose hotel Green Tara in Lake side, Pokhara.
While you at Green Tara Hotel, you can easily escape the noise and enroll in the peaceful atmosphere environment with a walking distance to the Lake Side area, easy go around to restaurant areas, shopping and much more. If you are a real adventurer person then Green Tara is much comfortable for you as the rooms are clean, big enough with hot shower and especially strong WiFi, what can be better than this, this is why our stay was really great at Hotel Green Tara.
The owner itself was friendly so all the other staffs were, we mostly ate outside but the food at Green Tara is highlighted to as they use fresh ingredients, and you can customize your own food upon request which we did and enjoyed the delicious food.
Most of the rooms have splendid view as you can enjoy seeing the Himalayas from your room such as Annapurna Ranges, Machhapuchhre Himal (Fishtail Mountain) which can refresh you from early morning, or even you can have a morning tea or coffee falling love with snow peaked mountains with a little emotional conversation with the nature, oops what did i say, I even don’t know here, ha ha ha.
The Hotel has a little garden at the roof top which gives another relaxing atmosphere environment rolling your eyes in 360-degree views enjoying green mountain and snow peaked mountains such as Annapurna Range, Dhaulagiri Himalaya, Machhapuchhre ( Fish Tail) and the famous Buddha Stupa.
I would recommend you stay at Green Tara Hotel for a friendly staffs, family environment as you will feel like your own home. The first day we hired a bike from road side next to Phewa Lake, but the second day the owner organized a bike for a whole day in a reasonable price which was really appreciated which helped us to make a tour in different areas of Pokhara. If you would like to hire any vehicle for your own drive, ask the owner at Green Tara Hotel.
