Doko

Doko, Nepali Big BasketDoko, a typical Nepali style big basket which made of long dried bamboo strips, basically long thin stripes are connected each other without any nails or strings. In the past in remote villages of Nepal, Doko is used to carry items such as grains, grasses, even filled water pots. It is also used to carry patients to go to hospitals or kids to schools. In capital city Kathmandu, even nowadays it can be seen using in building areas carrying bricks, small stones, sands etc.
